Early Years Program
This is an intensive home, school and community-based program for families with children 6 years of age and younger who are showing signs of significant social, emotional and/or behavioural problems in the home and/or (pre)school setting. This program offers families an opportunity to build on their strengths, skills and relationships.
The program offers:
- assessment, counselling and support
- up to 6 hours of service per week
- information on parenting strategies and child development
- consultation and support to daycare centres, preschools and school settings
- flexible hours and accessibility
- follow-up “booster sessions”
- education for service providers about child development and mental health issues
- community presentations and workshops
