About Woodview Mental Health & Autism Services

Brant 8 to 8 Program

Brant 8 to 8 Program is a day treatment service intended for children aged 6-12 years with significant social, emotional and/or behavioural needs that are impairing their ability to function in their home, school and community and support cannot be met through other, less intensive programs.

The program is based on a collaborative and family focused treatment approach following a needs assessment-treatment-transition model.  Child and Youth Workers and Social Workers provide the primary intervention, which may include therapy (e.g., individual, group, parental, family), psychoeducational or skills based groups, in-home behavioral consultation, and specialized parent training/education, including Triple P (Positive Parenting Program). Caregiver participation is essential in the program throughout treatment.

Caregivers have access to staff through frequent meetings, drop-off and pick-up times and telephone support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as well as respite services.  Staff are committed to working with community agencies including schools in planning and coordination services to meet the needs of the children and families.
