Referral Process – Children’s and Youth Services
Woodview’s children’s and youth services for individuals with ASD in Hamilton are funded through the Ministry of Child and Youth Services (MCYS). Contact Hamilton is the central access point for funded children’s Developmental Services and Children’s Mental Health Services in the Hamilton region.
A formal referral through Contact Hamilton is necessary to access these services. Contact Hamilton’s referral process begins with a parent/guardian calling Contact Hamilton to arrange an intake interview, either by telephone or in person. After the intake interview a referral document is forwarded to Woodview, indicating which children’s or youth programs are being requested. Interested individuals/families are then contacted directly by Woodview regarding the next steps.
