About Woodview Mental Health & Autism Services

Autism Programs

While there is currently no cure for Autism, Woodview has a variety of programs designed to help individuals with Autism maximize the quality of their of their lives.

Woodview programs are geared towards individuals with a diagnosis of ASD – HF Autism or Aspergers Syndrome.  All participants must be able to function within a staff ration of 2:8, be able to follow direction, stay with a group, be willing to participate, and be able to move to increased levels of independence.  Adults taking part in these programs cannot require consistent 1:1 behavioural support.

Currently, the majority of the Autism programs provided by Woodview are are offered to residents of the Hamilton region only, however Pathways (IBI) is located in Halton and the Woodview Learning Centre is open to anyone.

It is the plan for the future to increase our programing for individuals with Autism across all of the regions we service.
